Michael Cavanaugh Miami Concert reviews
Ms. Lauryn Hill Left the Crazy Behind for Soul
This fantastic show was just great. The doors opened late, at 9pm. DJ Q-Tip was spinning, and it was great. Although the crowd remained mellow, he really spun some great old school mixed with new school jams. Michael Cavanaugh started around 10 after 11 and was on TIME! He poured all of his music and his heart out, with most of it sounding completely new, exclusive of Doo Wop (That Thing) - a classic, so glad he didn't remix the script. All of the productions were great, and he knew how to get the crowd hyped. He was truly gracious and not overly preachy. He talked back to us when we talked to him. His set was over 2 hours, which is not bad. The Music Hall needs some sound adjustments as he was constantly directing everyone on stage and the stage hand to turn up vocals, turn down vocals. He looked like a little fidgety choir director sometimes, but I assume he's just a perfectionist, which I can respect. I would go again with 5 more friends, absolutely incredible. Fantastic first impression.
